Who We Are
James founded Delicious Webdesign in 2006. Since then we have managed to build up a long list of delighted clients, as well as finding some really talented developers, marketing gurus and creative people to work with.
We have been delighting customers since 2006 and we are focused on developing and designing websites that
combine common sense and creativity to deliver sites that sell. The design of your web site influences how your customers think about your business; if you have a poorly designed web
site your image will suffer in direct proportion.
James
Founded Delicious Webdesign after spending 16 years working in IT for various companies including Morgan Stanley, CapGemini, CGI and Cox Insurance before deciding to step out on his own. Has an eye for websites that tick all the right boxes in terms of appearance, usability and SEO, Uses the term 'holistic website design' a lot to describe what Delicious Webdesign tries to achieve and what an ideal website should be.
Loving the new opportunities we have been given since Thurrock's London Gateway project has been approved. The company has some very skilled designers and developers working hard on our client's behalf to make their businesses a success online.
Steven
Joined Delicious Webdesign in March 2009 after leaving university. Experienced with Internet Technology and Media design software, web design is shaping up to be an ideal setting to get the most from his varied skillset. Steven is a great developer who specialises in Ecommerce websites and Wordpress Blog websites.
Each project brings a new opportunity for me to expand on current knowledge, skills and services.
It gives great satisfaction to know a client is happy with a tailor made site that has been built from the ground up to suit their needs.
Daniel
Started to work for Delicious Webdesign in 2011, after working for another Website design company, Daniel has fast become a valuable asset to us by creating some great websites for clients. He has proved to be a very fast learner and is already a knowledgeable and established website designer / developer within our team.
I'm very happy to be working for a dynamic and creative web design house. Knowing that a client is well looked after from the start of the project enables me to concentrate on producing the best websites for them. Louisa
Louisa is our secret weapon in ensuring our sites have lots of interesting, search engine friendly and relevant webcopy (text) in them to ensure the website visitor gets the information that they want and to ensure the webcopy attracts the correct type of traffic direct from the search engines. As soon as a new websites browser is launched we ensure all the sites still look fresh and work faultlessly on them, but we find that we also need to keep referencing the older browsers too. You will want your site to still look as good compared with its competitors after 3-4 years time as it does at launch so we test your new website with all the browsers so it meets W3C standards to ensure it is compliant with all current web standards.
So PC or Mac, IE - Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari, we'll make sure that web visitors see exactly what we intend them to see and that the whole site works perfectly. We recommend reviewing your site every year to see if it can do with some new images or a revamp as you will be surprised how quickly things look dated

Future Outlook
We have a very good order book of new website projects and anticipate that this will continue with the Thames Gateway project beginning on our doorstep. Going into 2009 we are developing on average 2 websites per week (mainly Business brochure sites and ecommerce websites)
Recruitment of website designers with skills in MySql / PHP and XHTML will shortly be undertaken
Ecommerce
Now using Prestashop, Magento, Joomla and Virtuamart or the OSCommerce ecommerce packages on our e-commerce sites. We are combining this with Protx and Google Checkout / Paypal as our preferred payment gateways as these combinations have proved cost effective and they offer great performance from proven market leading companies.
If you want to convey a professional image, get a professional to design your site... and it's not all about design, either.
